The Iron Horse Playing Cards

Created by Jody Eklund

This hand-drawn deck captures the spirit of the dastardly dudes, daring damsels and the robbery that brought them all together. The Iron Horse premium playing cards has some of the most intricate details I've ever designed. This is a fully custom Illustrated deck of playing cards that has been painstakingly scrutinized on every level. One of the most notable features of this project is that this deck is inspired by a short story written by my good friend Ricky Cassford. His ability to creatively tell an epic story is truly awe-inspiring.

Hello everyone!

Yesssss!!!! The Iron Horse is going to ship to you all very soon. I just got word that the decks have been delivered and Gambler's Warehouse will be picking them up tomorrow.

That means, if you have any last minute changes, you have the next 48 hours to make it. I am finalizing all of your shipping info today, but will take changes up until Friday at the latest.

The PDF Download

The PDF download will be ready for you to download in the next couple weeks. I still need to make a few tweaks to it and it will be yours. I will send out another update with instructions regarding your downloads.

Here is just a sketch of one of the pages that will be in the PDF:

Happy New Year!

Just a quick update. The production of The Iron Horse is complete and is now on a freighter in the middle of the Pacific. The estimate is sometime towards the end of this month for it to reach the warehouse. I am hoping to get your rewards out by the first of February.

You all have been really patient with all of this and I appreciate it. Your Iron Horse is almost in your hands.

I don't think I have shown you all what the Dealer Coins look like. Here is a sample image:

 Sincerely,

Jody

Production Update
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 22, 2017 at 12:11:01 AM

Hello everyone!

I know you all have been wondering about production and unfortunately I have some not so good news.

There has been some issues with some of the files, which has prolonged the production, which changed the end date to around December 7, 2017. This means shipping will not start until Mid-January. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for the decks to ship to the fulfillment center in Texas and another 2 weeks for Gambler's to prepare everything to start shipping to all of you.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear. Many of you wanted The Iron Horse to give as Christmas gifts. I am truly sorry about that.

I will let you all know as soon as I hear that production has finished and the shipment has left port.

Sincerely,

Jody

The Iron Horse is in Production | NEW PROJECT!
over 6 years ago – Tue, Oct 17, 2017 at 11:36:52 PM

Hi everyone!

Just a quick note. The cards are now in production. I hope to see if finished the first part of November. If I hear anything until then, you will be the first to know.

Also, if you haven't heard, I have a new project out called...

Top Aces of WWI Playing Cards

"Fight on and fly on to the last drop of blood and the last drop of fuel, to the last beat of the heart" - Manfred von Richthofen (AKA...The Red Baron)

In World War I many saw being a pilot as a glamorous role. A position that would take them away from the mud and blood of the front lines. Aviation attracted young, energetic recruits who were keen to be trained in this new way of warfare. The need was high and the training was minimal. If you survived, you had the opportunity to be one of the elite, the "Flying Aces."

A flying ace, fighter ace or air ace is a military aviator credited with shooting down several enemy aircraft during aerial combat. The actual number of aerial victories required to officially qualify as an "ace" has varied, but is usually considered to be five or more.
